Mr. Ciaran Clark, Gifted/Enrichment Teacher

email Mr. Clark

Mr. Clark is currently Gonzales’ gifted/enrichment teacher for all grades.  He previously taught resource/special education for three years – all at Gonzales.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health and a level one K-12 Special Education teaching license.  He attended New Mexico State University and Santa Fe Community College, and is currently in the process of obtaining a gifted enrichment endorsement.

Mr. Clark decided to become a teacher because alternative facts don't cut it, and wanted to teach truth to the youth. He grew up in Santa Fe and wants to give back to the community that provided him with so much growing up.  He was employed as a case manager at Santa Fe YouthWorks! for five years before making the transition to teaching exceptional students.  Through a rigorous application process, he was accepted into the first cohort of SFPS fellows program. The fellows were fast-tracked through the Santa Fe Community College alternative licensure program and placed in Santa Fe schools throughout the district.

Mr. Clark recently married his beautiful wide, Heather who is the deputy director of the local non-profit YouthWorks!  He continues to give back to the community where he grew up by helping run a youth homeless emergency shelter in collaboration with Santa Fe YouthWorks!

He also enjoys and taking advantage of the beautiful snowfall in northern New Mexico by snowboarding in Taos and Santa Fe.  He and his wife live in downtown Santa Fe with their gingerbaby, an eight-year-old Pitbull rescue.
