Our Halloween events are an annual tradition at Gonzales Community school that are not to be missed.
Halloween events will take place on Friday, October 26 only. Students are not allowed to wear costumes to school on Halloween Day and will be asked to call parents if not in regular clothes.
No weapons are allowed as parts of costumes. SFPS has issued a district policy about no weapons or simulated weapons allowed on any district property. Students will be asked to call parents if weapons are part of their costume at school.
PTA is responsible for running the kitchen during the carnival and we need volunteers (we know, shocker!). In addition to helping in your child's classroom booth, please sign-up for a one-hour shift in the Halloween kitchen.
You don't need to be a member of PTA to help.
LOBO LIBRARY BOOK FAIR
Annual Lobo Library Book Fair takes place the week prior to Halloween starting on October 22 and concludes on October 29.
The Book Fair is open during the Halloween Carnival.
Students will visit the Lobo Library Book Fair during their scheduled library time, after school, and during the Halloween Fundraiser.
Classroom Visit scheduled to be posted soon so you may send money will your student to purcahse new books.
The LOBO LIBRARY BOOK FAIR is a great opportunity do get your holiday shopping done!

LITERARY COSTUME PARADE AND COSTUME CONTEST
Friday, October 26 at 10:45AM
All students in costume can participate.
Anyone dressed as a book character will be entered into the prize raffle for $10 Book Fair Dollars. One Student in every grade K-6 will win.
Each class will participate in the Costume Parade starting at 10:45AM.
Friday, October 26 at 5:30PM - 8:00PM
Family, friends, fun, and costumes. Join us at the school for an evening of good old-fashioned family fun. Carnival games, food and silent auction.
Every GCS family will be asked to donate a food item and volunteer for their class carnival game. Your child's teacher will provide a volunteer sign-up sheet for your classroom booth and students in every class are asked to donate items to help support the carnival. All non-perishable items are to be delivered to your child's teacher on Wednesday, October 24 and perishable items must be delivered on Friday, October 26 only.
Early bird specials ticket sales (posted soon) will take place in the school office during parent-teacher conferences on October 19 and 22, and before and after school through Thursday, October 25 and again during the Halloween Fundraiser. Tickets at the Halloween Fundraiser are $.50 each and will be sold in bundles.
